Re: Eco home audit

Peppermint is great.

A few leaves in hot water is brill for upset stomachs.

I believe sage is good when used as a mouth wash.

Have a look at James Wong - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Grow-Your-Own-D ... 0007307136 Great book!

Re: Any Ishy Bloggers out there?

Mine is in my signature too.

Mainly crafty stuff, but loads more veggie growing and hedgerow harvesting later in the year.

I have a feeling my new house move might feature quite a lot next year (the money pit that it is)!

Loads of logs by the back and front doors and in the huge log basket. Patchwork quilt and spare blankets dotted around. Hot w...

Oooh, I'm always in Ludgershall Co-Op and get my hair cut there. The butcher's round the corner, do the best sausages! Try the Cowboys and breakfast chipolatas (sp)? *dribbles*

Re: Dry Your Washing Without the Tumble Drier....

Thanks for the tips.

I am moving to a very old house in the next few weeks - no central heating and don't want a tumble dryer, so will use the tips listed

Keep windows open seems to be a top tip!

Re: Christmas Hamper

Things that keep well always go down well after the excesses of Christmas. I usually do a few jars of jam/chutney/jelly, pickled eggs/onions, candied orange peel is always nice especially when dipped in chocolate  Lavender bags? Now is a good time to pick and dry lavender..... I usually ...
