Anyways...my OH has started volunteering at a local community centre called Sunshine House ( http://arttoartwigan.co.uk ), initially as part of placement for his uni course but has continued since he really enjoys ...

thanks both for confirming what I thought.
Jandra, I agree it's not worth getting ill over so i'll leave them alone...
Unfortunately most of the elderberries and blackberries round my way are gone now, but i've seen lots of rosehips so at least I have those to look forward to soon!

Re: Rose Hips
this is probably a silly question (i'm new to rosehips) but how do you tell when they are ready to pick? Are they ok as long as they're red/orange or do they get less firm when they are ripe?

I thought I might have found red currents...
...But after a bit of research I think they are probably Guelder Rose. Can I have a second opinion? http://a1.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/251664_10151941909447925_1957355699_n.jpg http://sphotos-c.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/392114_10151941909832925_348903819_n.jpg http://sphotos-d.ak.fbcd...

Re: Letting go
Spend some money on a Therapist. I could comment, but it would take ages to put it diplomatically, and as I have no wish to upset you I think you need to pay to see someone a few times, you can get 4 hour sessions for £100, and I think with some reading you can make a difference very quickly. Or as...

Re: Men and Money!!!
I'm probably being a bit touchy here, but the fact I can't trust my husband with money does not mean he's a bad man! I completely agree! My OH has bipolar disorder. These days his mediation is working reasonably well he is generally very good at budgeting due to being skint most of his life, but wh...

Re: Kids in another country?
My stepkids' mum wants to move them out to her parent's house in France with her and her new husband after the summer holidays for a year. We don't want them to go. L (aged 9) doesn't want to go as she would rather stay with me and her dad and hates her mum's husband, and A (age 7) kind of wants to ...

After paying off some debts and putting down a deposit on a house with a garden for myself (currently renting a place with a tiny yard) I would spend it doing up old buildings around Greater Manchester. There are some brilliant buildings around here I bet looked amazing in their hay day, which have ...
