I have no idea what people call it here -shrugs- apart from a pain in the bum!!!! I can assure you i wont be eating it- raw or cooked! Its going in the brown bin....where it belongs....i hate it!

lol i love that little drunken bubblely head smiley- lol!! A sparkly ribena alco pop sounds good to me :D so, how do i know when its done? When the bubbles stop? I do have one of them hydrometre thingys but i dont know what im looking at :\

Well by the sounds of it it has worked then- a and b have happened :) whoo hoo. First nothing happened- check. Now after two days theres some foaming stuff on the top and i actually sat and watched it (lol) and the bubbles where every 30 seconds (roughly...). Its in the air cupboard at the minute si...

right....its dawned on me i dont even know what im looking for to happen! should i be seeing lots of bubbles bubbling up the airlock or one once in a while? i dont think anything is happening anyway!

Thanks chickenchargrill (love the username!) for the recipe :) i had loads of dandelions in the garden a few weeks back, they've now all turned into those annoying little flying seeds! Theres plently around the parks etc though so i might have to go pinching a few :p using old wine bottles is a good...

hmmmm perhaps it was too warm, so, if nothing happens by tomorrow i can just dd more yeast and nutrient without having to throw the whole lot away?

As for making another batch, ive got no more demijons and a 7month old baby!! Otherwise i definately would be making thousands more batches!!!

Oh come on, its my first time and Im keen!!! I want to see a bubble or two, you cant blame me for that!!
Hmmmm well i did put the yeast and nutrient when the water was warm...maybe i killed it....oh dear :| so after 48hrs its going to bubble and i shall know if its worked yeah?

first attempt at wine making!

First attempt at wine yesterday :) i tried the ribena wine recipe as it looked easy. i dont know if its worked though! maybe im just inpatient but it dont look asthough its doing anything!!!! ive seen one bubble, bubble up through the air lock and thats it! when is it meant to DO something?
