Is this Rosemary?
I saw this shrub growing outside the church so I just picked up a small sample & I left it out in the air to dry. It has a very, refreshing strong smell & has a steak of white underneath. I was wondering if it is Rosemary, as Ive never tasted it before
. Can anyone ID it?

When harvesting, do you look for insects?
 I love foraging but the thing that scares me the most is small insects & nasty creepy crawlies. Im so tired of it though. I simply want to collect the stalks, roots. A whole batch of leaf without hand selecting & examining each indivudal leaf for insects. It is so very time cons...

Purple Flower- ID please

I love reading in general so I might look out for that boo
k. I actually prefer to read books then go online but that database is very easy to understand. I also like that it gives ratings of how edible and useful it is for medicinal purposes.

Re: I it safe to pick Stinging Nettles from my local Park?
If eating make sure you get the young leaves, as it states on the PFAF database entry. I was thinking of doing this. I did collect young leaves as well as medium ones. I think I will dry the leaves & then seperate them. The young leaves can be used for cooking & the older ones for making my...

Re: I it safe to pick Stinging Nettles from my local Park?
You are right Southeast-isher. I shouldn't have washed them in the bathroom tub lol, I just thought it was easier to handle since my mum was busy in the kitchen. I definetly know it is Urtica Dioica because my mum collected some with her bare hands & she got stung in the finger. Im not worried a...

Re: Is this tiny flower Cow Parsley or something else?
Thanks Davie, feels so good now that I know  . I had been searching this flower for ages, I knew that it couldn't be cow parsley because the leaf description is different. I thought it can't be yarrow either as it has 5 petals instead of 4. I was actually on the verge of eating it out of fru...
