Re: Boosting Telephone Signal

Sadly not, it's only an acre and as it is all woodland I don't think there would be much room left for me if I had to share with a mast.

Re: Boosting Telephone Signal

Hi, It's much the same in or out of the caravan. I have spent an entire day down there and not lost the signal, other days it's hard to get on. I'm guessing I'm just on the border of a transmitter. The dongle and laptop are supplied by work and all locked down so I can't plug anything else into the ...

Boosting Telephone Signal

Hi, I have a patch of woodland with a caravan on it. I would love to be able to spend more time down there but need internet access in order to work. There is a signal, but it is intermittent and I can't rely on being able to work (which I need to be). My work laptop has a dongle for wireless / 3g e...

Re: Growing Willow in Containers

Thank you for all the advice. I'll look into those rabbit guards - they certainly seem cheaper than I have seen elsewhere, and recycled too.

Re: Growing Willow in Containers

if that is the case then I am a very happy bunny! (If you'll excuse the pun).

When I saw lengths of willow on eBay there was a warning that rabbit guards are needed, (even if the seller isn't selling them).

Growing Willow in Containers

Hello, I have a piece of woodland 150 or so miles from where I live. Not very practical. I want to plant some willow in order to coppice it and also to create some living willow sculptures. My concern is that I will plant the willow and come back a couple of months later to find it has been nibbled ...

(Semi) Wild Bees

Hi,

Is it possible to set up a hive and then just leave it to 'get on'?

Assuming that I don't necessarily want to collect the honey is it possible to create a hive just to try and boost the general population.

Or do they need regular human attention?

Thanks

Peter

How To Books

Hi, I am looking to put in some kind of 12v power supply to a little hut I have. It would only be used for one or two days/nights a month. My plan is to have a couple of batteries to run lights etc. I am a complete novice and am looking for an instruction manual. Has anyone bought this book... "...

Re: Hello from Norfolk / Sussex

That's funny as my wife runs a vintage clothing blog / shop and she was offered free Ugg boots to review recently. She turned them down as they don't really fit in with the 1940's look!

I used Gugg as my nick name as that is what I called pigs when I was very small.

Hello from Norfolk / Sussex

Hello, I live in Norwich but have a small plot of land in the middle of a wood in East Sussex. On the land is an old hut built before the 1st World War in which a reclusive scientist lived for 60 or so years. He was almost totally self sufficient and my aim is to restore his hut to it's former 'glor...
