Re: Has the ISH site gone weird on your PC?

Fingers crossed! If it helps, I think mine would fit ok if the ads weren't down the left hand side.

Re: Has the ISH site gone weird on your PC?

It is still the same for me - tiny writing, page goes way too far to the right.

Re: Has the ISH site gone weird on your PC?

Yes, mine is AWFUL! Teeny tiny font and having to scroll right all the time to read people's posts :( If the crying smilie was still there I would use that! See my post 'active posts missing', everyone seems to be having problems!

Re: Active topics not there?

I'm on firefox too, font size too small (ok on all other websites), but the most annoying thing having to scroll to the right to read anything - almost unusable!!! I understand the need for adverts, but also that this forum is such a useful support network for people wanting to be more self sufficie...

Re: Active topics not there?

Ah good, I thought it was just me! I don't like the ads down the side, it squishes it all up for those with a small screen like me! :(

Edited to say that I have to use the scroll bar at the bottom now to read posts properly, maybe the ads would be better on the right hand side?

Re: Recycle old towels into a cushion

I'm ignoring the glue part and using old old old towels - if you're covering them, they don't need to be in that good condition! I've got rags coming out of my ears so I'm pleased with this idea

Recycle old towels into a cushion

I never know whether posts like this belong in the recycle section or this one... Just something I found today that I think is a great way to recycle old towels: http://www.curbly.com/modhomeecteacher/posts/7600-make-a-beefy-bolster-pillow-from-old-towels I bet you're all doing this already aren't y...

Re: Downshifting

I've become fascinated by this thread. I wonder why we all seem to think of it as DOWNshifting - perhaps that's the problem with people's perceptions. It isn't actually down at all, is it? Sidestepping, maybe, and there is an ishy argument to say it's an upgrade - you'll certainly get a better qual...

Re: Downshifting

So my old friends are lecturers, IT specialists, web designers or on senior management teams and go on holiday twice a year and have i-pods and earn 40k. If I tried that I'd start drinking and then spontaneously combust and so no point worrying about it. I just want to make vegetable soup and wear ...

Re: Catfood

Burns Pet Food have both wet (unfortunately in sachets) and dry food and they have registered with Peta to say they do not test on animals. The fish is apparently from a sustainable source. There's also Applaws (in tins) who have also signed up with Peta - the same company make Encore which is avai...

Re: Catfood

I've just been told that my older cat has kidney disease and will need to go on a special diet for the rest of her life. I picked up three sachets (argggh) from the vet which cost me 2.25 pounds and will supposedly last her the weekend. Grrrr. Still it's better than the alternative. I agree with th...
