Re: Building a plastic bottle fence...
We built a greenhouse out of plastic bottles at school .... similar to this one: http://ana-white.com/2011/04/plastic-bottle-green-house-build-guide We cut the bottles down and then threaded them onto garden canes that slotted into a wooden frame, if that makes sense? I can't seem to post our photos...

Hello
Sounds great not sad to me
If there's anywhere to put up hanging baskets that would get sun you could grow some yummy tumling tomatoes in them.

My mum's latest 'thing' for no dig weeding is lasagne gardening! http://organicgardening.about.com/od/startinganorganicgarden/a/lasagnagarden.htm I'm really posting this more because it has a funny name than anything else. Am giving it a try today on a big section of garden which is mostly crow garl...

Re: Making plant food ?
it stinks  I use a big bucket with a lid (an empty trade paint bucket well cleaned) to keep the pongs down and put a tap in to make it easier to fill bottles (old plastic milk containers) with the liquid when I want to use some. They manure around here a lot anyway so I just don't mention ...

Re: growing herbs for teas
Of course nettle and dandelion! Two of my all time favourite teas what an airhead I am. Thanks for the reminder. I suppose I can just freeze some for later in the year, but not sure how well it would keep. Not tried yarrow before in fact not even sure what yarrow looks like but will investigate, tha...
Re: Bees
Famous beekeeper: http://oi52.tinypic.com/350rtd0.jpg Oh I love it! Lyndhurst is no fool when it comes to bees :sunny: I've seen bees kept on rooves on the telly and they seemed to be fine, didn't have a special roof or anything, they just went off to feed. Have finally got myself booked in for an ...

growing herbs for teas
Hello, I am determined to grow more herbs for making teas this year, partly to save money and partly cause it seems plain silly to be flying and driving stuff round the world packaged up in little bags and boxes. I've been re-potting some lemon balm today and brought some in (to unheated kitchen win...
