Medlars
My neighbour has a medlar tree and I believe the fruit has to be rotten before using. Does anyone have any idea how to do this without making a complete mess? I think you are a couple of months early in picking them - mind you, you have to add so much sugar that it may not make much difference. I use cut up plastic milk bottles as plant labels but after a few weeks the permanent marker has washed off. Does anyone have any idea how to overcome this?
