Re: weight loss group

Lots of walking!

I'm not very good at resisting temptation on holiday but I always take my pedometer with me and try to do at least 10,000 steps a day. Last time I was away I only put on 2lb which was a result - I've been known to gain half a stone over Christmas!

Re: Hyperhidrosis, anxiety and depression *help*

I don't post very often and I wish I had some useful suggestion to make but I couldn't read and not post. It sounds like you're both under a lot of stress and pressure trying to deal with this and I just wanted to offer a :hugish: Talking about it and having a better understanding can only help but ...

Re: weight loss group

I haven't weighed myself recently (which tells you all you need to know ;-) ), but, I can now run for 5 minutes at a time . (I know how unimpressive that sounds. Believe me, for me it's quite an achievement!). I could now run away from a supervillain/ axe murderer, so long as they jogged really slo...

Re: weight loss group

2lb off for me since I joined - so the smaller portion/less dairy ploy is working because I can't claim to have "exercised"! It's too hot - that's mw excuse and I'm sticking to it . . . . .

Re: weight loss group

Here's mine. How much weight have you lost since you started - 2stones 12lbs How many weeks or what date you started - Not sure, since February so about 26 weeks Wow! Well done Graye! I admire your dedication, I really do :notworthy: Sticking to it is sooooooo hard and climbing back on the wagon is...

Re: anti-wrinkle skin oils

Also I have decided that wrinkles are just part of getting older and it is just society that says we should look perpetually youthful. I focus on keeping my skin feeling good rather than worrying about wrinkles. There is ultimately nothing I can do to stop myself aging. It's what's inside that coun...

Re: anti-wrinkle skin oils

Rose water is lovely - I mix it with witch hazel, I've been using that for about 30 years and must have saved a small fortune when you look at the price of toners! My last few oil purchases came from Fresholi - I don't know how she compares on price but have had no complaints with her products, they...

Re: anti-wrinkle skin oils

I've tried a few different combos over the last couple of years and seem to have finally found the one that my skin likes best - 2 parts sweet almond, 1 part rosehip and 1 part jojoba. I usually add either patchouli or frankincense. I'm tempted to try some of the oils Green Aura has suggested though...

Re: weight loss group

Hello, thank you for the welcome  Marmalady, I'm going to take it a stone at a time and try to keep my motivation going - I usually hurtle at it with the zeal of a convert and start flagging after the first couple of weeks  The only "big" thing I've got on the calendar so far i...

Re: weight loss group

Can I join in? I weighed myself on Friday and I was 15 stone 8 - not the heaviest I've ever been but a long way from a healthy weight for my height (5'5"). I did the Slimming World thing a few years ago and I know I need to cut the fat in my diet - cheese is my biggest downfall, I can't resist ...

Re: Chest freezer and bread maker!

Hubby gave me a breadmaker for my birthday a few years back and was very apologetic as he couldn't think of anything else I wanted! I swear it's the best and most used pressie he's ever given me :sunny:

Making your own soap is addictive! One of my first combos was lemongrass and peppermint - it was gorgeous!

We had the same problem last year but the ladybirds arrived en masse one day and cleared the whole lot within days! We're hoping the same will happen again this year . . . .
