The house martins have returned this morning, heard them in the backyard and saw them flying in and out of there nests at the back and front of the house

what kind of ivy doesn't harm masonry?

Hello,
I'd like to grow Ivy and other climbing plants up the walls of my house but been warned by my sister in law to choose carefully as some ivy can harm the walls. So is Hedera Hibernica ( Irish ivy) a safe one?

Hiya Mmm, Yeah house martins! ( but shhh! don't let my French hubby know, he will insist that they are swallows though I told him I thought they were called house martins, What IS it with French hubbies always knowing that they are right eh?) Great stuff thanks for the tip! My little boy has been pestered with the diarrhoea since that awful vomiting and diarrhoea bug has been going about and no medicine from the doctors seems to be really clearing it up.

Hello, As someone who relies on a cast iron wood burner for my main source of heating and speaking from experience 3 years is the minimum time for any kind of wood. Burn wood that has only been seasoned one or two years at your peril ( I've made that mistake before and believe me the last thing you ...

Hi Mmm, I've got a swallows nest (hirondelle de fenetre) under the eves at the front of my house and there's another two round the back, In summer there are loads of them here zooming back and forth from the church in front of my house and we sit and watch them from the living room or the back yard ...
