When can I let my chicks out?
I have 4 chicks, 1 red 1 black and 2 white. the red is still quite small but the others all look like little chickens now and are trying to escape every 5 minutes. Thanks for the offer but I am in surrey. we are ok at the moment but I am on the hunt for a run of some sort so that I can kepe them contained within the stable otherwise they will escape through the cracks

Oh please dont jump on the nursery school, they had made arrangements with a farm to have them before they took them on but they have been let down so they contacted me and it was all ery last minute as they were about to break up for the holidays. I have put a fleece horse boot in there for them and right now they are making a racket. eating, drinking, pecking and stuff. I assume they also huddle together to sleep as it certainly isnt cold in here at the moment as the heating is on. The one that died was also the smallest of the lot. How old ...

ok now youve confused me. an earlier reply said buy them at two months old having been born between February and April. and then killed at the end of the summer.
