Hiya :mrgreen: Phew, i'm not the only one who asks for weird stuff as pressies! lol You should have seen the look I got on Friday night when, presented with garden centre vouchers as a leaving gift from work, I said I might spend them on a Terracotta Rhubarb Forcer!! LOL I can imagine.. quite right...

Thanks Mrs Moustoir, yep, please let me know what you think of your home grown. The ones in the restaurant must have been boiled and pureed cos I thought they were mashed potatoes to start with :oops: I think in the meantime I might nip and buy some from the local farmers shop to test out the family...

I rinse out, dry and then crush my egg shells to put around the raised bed dedicated to lettuce - it doesn't stop all slugs but is damage limitation. I like the idea that my chucks not only provide food but their droppings accelerate my compost and the shells prevent slugs - what clever girls! I als...

Hello everyone.
I went out for a lovely meal last night and tried (and liked) celeriac for the first time. Thinking of fitting into my growing plan for next year but wondered if anyone had any advice on growing and cooking it. Is it easy?
