Planting after Pigs

Hi there, I am putting 4 pigs on a 3/4 acre site from now until probably September, after they are in the freezer I would love to use the ground to over winter vegetables, can anyone tell me which veg would be good?? I live in Southern Ireland, literally next to the sea, it is a fairly exposed site ...

I love the Green Grass here in West Cork Southern Ireland along with the sparkling Blue Sea I trully wouldn't change it for the world. We have lived here for 16 years and moved over from the uk when the kids were babies, we have experienced the good life here....chickens, ducks, sheep, goats and now...

Mine used to eat like this..one minute they ate and went out sideways, then the growth spurt came and they shot upwards, it kind of evens itself out in the end, I wouldn't worry :wink:

That sounds like a really great idea, I think I will give it a try.someone I know makes wood burning stoves from old (and empty) calor gas bottles, they work out realy well I think all that is required is basic welding knowlege :?

My reaction (for what its worth) would be to let them go.....maybe voice your concerns to them (if they are old enough) ? I suppose you have to weigh up the fall out compared to the time out that you and Chris will share. I guess that if you can let them go without worrying the whole time as to what...
