Thanks for that Mrs. M, I think the pumpkin thread is a brilliant idea, I have masses this year although it was supposedly a poor year for them. They obviously liked my neglect! I have once made pumpkin pie but mostly I just make soup! Not very imaginative! pbf.

I like the idea of the electricity monitor, must look into getting one. I'm never sure about the economic viability of my three freezers, unless of course they are filled with smoked salmon! Is it worth saving bread crusts for crumbs etc? Is that all I have to worry about!! pbf.

Favourite economy tips
I have just spent the weekend cooking up bits and pieces, leftovers, veg from the plot making soup etc, cutting up tee shirts bought at local jumble sale for rag rugs, picking hawthorn berries to make wine and so on! Just wondered what your favourite money saving activity is. and is it worth it!! pbf.

I'm only a bit ss, but I really love not going to the dreaded supermarket. I have two allotments and they pretty much feed my daughter and I, and we have a wood burning Rayburn which heats the water and the house and cooks the veg. We go 2wooding" most days whilst walking the dog. I would like ...

Cheers irigg, I'm going for that! I picked a couple of pints yesterday, so must finish it today. Have made about 5 buckets of raspberry, all at different stages, very confusing. Must start writing it all down.!! Happy brewing, pbf.
