Many thanks for the response, I did think about what you said and if I could keep the soapy liquid on the lettuce leaves that would be fine as any residue would be rinsed of before eating them What I am concerned about is the excess going in to the soil especially as its in a closed container rather...

I have the same problem with green fly on my lettuce’s, they are growing in a trough style planter (If that makes any difference) I have tried picking the little pests of by hand but there are just too many of them. They are on the compost/soil as well which makes picking them of difficult. I don’t ...
