Thanks for the info. I had done a few of them, like 25 leeks the par boiled method and then read the other sugestion so I did the rest like that so now i have an enormouse amount of frozen leeks ready for my culinary wizardry over the comming months. Thanks once again for your help.

I'll start it off again this year but not sure if it's had it's sell by date now. I know I didn't lose anything in the last year but that just means weight loss 2013 is more needed now for me. Just recently seen several ads and facebook posts for dogs lost while out walking, usually dog has run off after something and not come back. Just use them as onions, this year my red onions didn't really come to anything.. but last year I just picked whichever colour I fancied and used it as an onion. Red onions are prettier where the onion is still visible - salads, etc. You won't know the difference in a casserole, or even as steak'n'...

I'm 1/2 a pound lighter than when we started this in January. Got the doctor to refer me to one of those "exercise for life " programmes so starting that on monday, 24th. hopefully it will help a bit.
