What breed do you have? I've heard that with domestic rabbits because you can stave them for 24 hours before culling it makes the gutting a much more pleasent job? Plus the wilds ones around here look rather small

Rabbit meat

Does anyone have experience of breeding rabbits for meat? Is it worth it or should i just try the wild ones that eat my veg garden?!

I'm in worcestershire near a little village called clifton-on-teme. Just clipped the wings and all seems well so far, apart from my collie touching the electric fence, screaming and deciding he dosent like me anymore and has run away down the fields to be with the fishermen!

Local is in worcester area. I heard that AI only works well if you have the boar there to get the sow receptive?

I own two pigs and would like to breed from them, i've heard lots of conflickting info on what to do. Can anyone help and give advice on how to find a local boar?

I have heard that when chickens roost (ie perch) they lock their legs and this relax's them. My advice is that if you plan to get chickens free range keep them in their pen for at least a day then restrict their freedom when you let thewm out for the first few nights so they don't stray too far from...

New eggs!

I know how you feel, i have around 30 chickens who produce a good quantity of eggs but i also have a few bantams for fun. My polish bantam laid its first egg this morning and by the look on my face you'd think i'd never seen an egg before! Three cheers for the hard working chicks!
