ooops, i accidently deleted a database that the catalyst website was using, so have completely rebuilt the site last week.
so that link i posted doesnt work.

just a quick update - we got 38 pledgees, but are going ahead to make it up to 1000 euros from our business pure portugal ltd.
we are talking to local councils and schools, and will be planting in various public places and commons in jan/feb 2009.

central portugal has skiing in the winter.
but to get there i think you'd need to drive from your accommodation - you can get here by train though.

quince is very high in pectin - so great to add a little to any jam to help it set.
we have quite a few trees here.
its also good boiled up with apples and pears, gives a lemony taste. but a bit strong for our taste on its own.

sodium flouride is an incredibly toxic susbstance, produced as waste in the aluminium, car and pesticide industries. the idea of selling this wate product, rather than paying to have it diposed of, was a great idea for those industries, but not so good for us... it was first put in water by hitlers ...

not just on the other side of the world - grain prices are going up everywhere. we are all in for a hell of a ride, but should be a bit easier for those of us growing some food.
