On a survival course I took part in, They made a tea from Rose hips and pine needles combined togeather for a drink packed with vitamin c. Dont think its a combination i would try again anytime soon. The rose hips did taste really good though after they had been infused.

Sorry to bring this topic up again. And really sorry I didn't respond to you Red, I haven't been online for awhile. I do still keep quail and planning on incubating my first eggs in a few weeks. Increase my stock a bit :lol:.

I had the same problem with soft shells from my quails. I was told by my local breeder to scrape a small amount of cuttlefish bone into there water so they can get the calcium they need. And also to mix abit of grit in there feed.
