Cotton Questions.

When is the best time to sow cotton? I still have some more seeds that I'm hoping are still viable - am about to send some for a trade but want to let the recipient know when to plant them. My last sowing didn't do well, being neglected didn't help, lack of water interspaced with too much water, wee...

Dump them in the dining room to see how long it takes your wife to rant, curse and ask for you to get rid of the things. Then wait to see how long it takes her to move them herself and whine that she's dumped them in your garage.

Over here they seem really expensive to buy, not that I've bought any in a long time seeing as every so often I see stands set up in shopping centres or at fairs handing out bags with 6 or 8 free energy saving bulbs in them. My house is now lit by them and I have a bunch of spares. Not that we need ...

I love that doll's house. Very Glad it was loved. It reminded me of one a BIL made in our garage once, he spent weeks and weeks on it, put working lights in, carpets etc. The roof was tiled with individual tiles. He spent so long on it, working out details etc and finally it was ready to give to his...

Cotton - question for Wombat/Nev

My seeds have sprouted, just planted 2 seedlings in the garden, probably in the wrong spot but I have others that I want to try elsewhere too. These first 2 are on the south side of a colourbond fence, 2 - 3 feet away from it. In summer it gets full sun but in winter none at all. How big will the pl...

Nev, You could teach me to spin cotton, what say we meet up at somewhere along Annangrove Rd :cooldude: , maybe on a Thursday night? Are you feeling stalked right now? I read your cotton article and noticed that you mentioned Jenny, I am in her Tuesday class. She's the one who gave me the seed...

Thanks for your welcome Chickenlady - are you sure you aren't my neigbour, she call her the Chickenlady.

A Lemonade tree is a citrus - it has a sweetish lemon flavour, the fruits are yellow but are round like an orange. Haven't had fruit on mine yet.

Hello

Hi I'm Cheryl from Sydney, I've been lurking here for a few days and have decided it was time to come out of the shed. I've wanted to be self-sufficientish for a long time but have really only just started. Right now I have hardly any food crops, some potted capsicum, a chilli, mini nectarine, mini ...
