We do it here but with your harsher climate I don't know if it will work over there. Do you get snow?

I've no idea - I know people on other forums are talking about planting broad beans now but as my climate seems to be a bit colder than the UK I never think of sowing anything over winter.
Blimey, we need winter for a break!
