I will apologise straight away because this is a plug. A plug for my Dad and his cousin Bill who have been accepted by Macmillan to on their Nepal Hiking Challenge in October.

Between them they need to raise £6,400 for the charity and they got off to a good start today. My Mum and Bill's wife have been baking furiously since the weekend and raised £640 selling their goodies at the local hospital. (The one where Hoomin_era's twins were born!).

They have an online sponsor page here and would be delighted for any donations, how ever small. As it says on their page many a mickle maks a muckle!

Done, Not very much I afraid but every little helps as they say!

My dad recieved support from a Macmillan Nurse when he was told he had weeks to live. They were amazing and really helped both him and my mummy. He even helped when dad started searcing the net for research being done and accompanied him to his transplant assesment meeting. He was an angle (I really mean that) and my dad is living proof of what these amazing people can so.

A really good cause.
