Hi all i was working in a small wood called stang not far from where i live and was given this recipie by a farmers wife and thought you would like it i think its quite nice hope you do to
1 lemon skin and pith removed
560grms caster sugar
15 grms root ginger
2 tsp cream of tarter
1/2 tbs brewers yeast
2.5 litres of boiling water
Method
1. Place sliced lemon / sugar / ginger (bruised) and cream of tarter in a bowl and pour on the boiling water.
2. Leave aside until cool then add the yeast
3. Cover bowl and set aside for 24 hrs
4. Skim off any visible yeast from the top and strain liquid, then pour the liquid into bottles that can take pressure and stand for 2 days
yes it is that easy, the longer you leave it the better it is
i dont really know how long you can leave it for as it is never around long enough.
this beer is great ice cold on a hot summers day
hope you enjoy
