Having read a few back issues of Permaculture Magazine, I would love to drag dh along to a course. I just want an introductory weekend, not more than a couple of hours from north Essex.

Anybody have any knowledge of such things? Have you done any permaculture courses?

I keep thinking I should do a permaculture course sometime.

I reckon Graham Burnett, who posts here from time to time, might be your man. Have a look at his SpiralSeed site. IIRC, he runs courses at Dial House, in Essex (never been there, so this is not a recommendation, but it sounds like a thoroughly groovy place - and Graham like a thoroughly groovy man).

i've read graham burnetts introduction to permaculture booklet and its really accessible and easy to understand so im willing to bet his courses are. he also does the funky 'make compost not war' tshirts, i believe.
