Porta potty

Post: # 62118Post Silver Ether »

 We are about to purchase one of these so we can go camping in our Bongo van and somtimes you just gotto use the loo. Just for that odd smelly occasion I was wandering if theres an eco friendly solution to that nasty blue stuff ... I have a partner who isn't quite as green as I am and I know he will jump for the blue stuff... :( unless I get there first.

Here's one, there are others that do the flush as well as the base and are more economical

We don't use anything in ours - but with 2 adults and 3 children, it gets emptied quite often!

when we had our van, we had a porta loo - and used nothing inside it.

the trick is... only wee goes in there... anything else... you use other toilets....

Oh another Bongo lover - we have the Ford version the Freda and love it.
As there are only two of us we find the easiest option is to get a 2 litre plastic drinks bottle and cut the top off it, use it and chuck the contents out of the door, then get rid of the bottle back at home.

In a bongo I would be interested to know how you could use a porta potty, in ours we would have to plonk it on the front seat and then climb through
Opinionated but harmless

also you need to beak down the solid matter and prevent it fermenting.

Not a brew I would care to come face to face with!
