hydroponics

Hi, I'm contemplating having a go at hydroponics in my greenhouse does anybody have any ideas/suggestions for doing it on the cheap - and which veg to grow - any tips would gratefully received - thanks

I might even have a dabble in hydroponics myself. I have lots of stuff lying around. I have put the site in 'Favourites' so I don't lose it.

I've had a play with organic hydroponics but no real success to date!

There's only one plant I can think of that grows reliably by this method but we won't mention it!
I'm sure no-one on this forum would be stupid enough to play around with a hydroponics set up in their spare bedroom but one house down my street did. A bit too much water and electricity mixed and the house went up in flames. When the fire engine arrived they alerted the police and now the occupants are awaiting trial.
I did, however, see Bob Flowerdew growing lettuces in polystyrene trays in his waterbutts. That seemed to work well.
