Anybody ever use windbreak mesh fencing? It is extremely windy here in Caithness and have been contemplating using it around the vegetable and fruit plots whilst I grow a living windbreak. Any advice on the different types, heights & prices, suppliers, etc... & so on?

We have windbreak mesh here. I have it around 3 sides of my veg plot. It is 1.8m high. I have found that it is ok for general use, but where I have planted sweetcorn and other tall crops I need to put up extra cover. We get some pretty strong southerlies and I would reccomend it.

We've got some here but haven't put it up yet... we're completing the fencing around the veg plot and once that is in place we'll do the green windbreak stuff. I'm not sure of the height though - I guess we'll find that out later

We use it too, on our native shelterbelt. We have planted it out this year, and the trees are still only hip-height, so it's still comparable to veges!

Ours is about 1m high, here, I think it comes at about 1m and 1.8m widths. Seems to work pretty well, the trees have survived some nasty southerlies.
