Alls well after winter
Alls well after winter
My Bees seem to have overwintered well, and I've not lost any so far. They all appear to be very strong at the moment and so I will have to watch out for swarm preparations by the end of next month. They were very busy the last two days bringing in masses of pollen, this is a good sign and normally means the queen is laying well and that there is brood to be fed. I have put a small feed on each hive just to help them on their way, its very easy for them to starve in the early spring if they have used up their winter stores. Hope the weather stays fine now for while.

Hi Beekeeper,
Our bees are also off to a flying start this year, I chanced a quick look yesterday as the weather was lovely and noticed huge amounts of brood, both open and capped, and their stores of pollen are remarkable. I gave them a small feed earlier this month just to be on the safe side and have a few frames of honey to give back to them soon. Fingers crossed it'll be a good year
