101 Things That Go Well With Herbs And Spices

One of the many gaps in my education is about herbs and spices. So, 101 things that go well with herbs and spices, please. Keep it simple - not after recipies, just stuff like:
1) Basil goes well with tomatoes
2) Sage and onion is good
3) Marjoram and oregano for a better pizza

4) Coriander and garlic are good in/on breads
5) Chives complement cheese
6) Nasturtiums are handy to add to a salad (leaves, flowers and seed pods)
7) Rosemary and mint both go well with lamb dishes and/or Greek dishes

Herbs:
Thyme and carrots.
Rosemary with bread.
Bay with fish
Chives with egg
Spices
fennel seeds with pork
vanilla and sugar

Parsley in peas
Garlic and lemon in carrots
Rosemary on roast potatoes
Dried thyme in yorkshire pudding
Cinnamon in scones
Cinnamon or nutmeg (or both) in pancakes

24. Fennel - fish
25. Dill (leaves) with cumin in sour cream to make a nice dip
26. Sprigs of Rosemary on roast spuds
27. Paprika on roast spuds
28. Garlic in mashed spuds
29. Dill seed in bread
30. Mint - tea
Might have some more, but have to nip out.

ok then
31. Parsley can help nutralise the smell of garlic. So they sort of go together.
32. Marojaram - boiled spuds
33. Lavender flowers - shortbread.
34. Leek and sage. (as you would expect, goes with onions will go with leeks.)
35. Chervil - can use like fennel or parsley. So goes with fish and can be interesting in soups.
36. Spinach - sorrel
37. Sage - on cheese on toast

In a non-cooking Manner:
Lavender and lemongrass creates a beautifully relaxing citrussy smell, justdon't overdo it on the lemongrass.
Sage is great for burning when its dried, and smells great too.

Here is the recipe on the
bottom of this page.
46. Cabbage and cumin seeds
47. mustard seed, cardamom pods, bay leaf, cumin powder and coriander with rice. - Cook them all up in a pan with some onion and grated carrot . Put in some rice and stock. Leave on the heat until the rice is cooked. - nice quick meal there.
