Have just bought two trees to plant a stella and a sunburst.

Am thinking of angling them so that I can net and pick them easily

Is this a good thing or should I plant them upright?

The branches will tend to grow upright over time whatever angle you plant the trunk. Can you train cherries at all - into a fan or espalier perhaps? That would help with protecting and picking.
