Store in glovebox for a get home measure when fan belt buggers up.

Add some grass seeds and fill to tennis ball size with soil and knot. Place 'wick' into a cup and keep well watered. Add googly eyes and whatnot to create your grass-head window feature. Just keep trimming his hair to keep the novelty.

Fill with sand to form draught stoppers.

Use as cushion fillers.

Place over head and withdraw funds from local bank.

If the tights only have ladders in one leg, cut off that leg. Save your unladdered halves, and match up two and wear them together (you get two unladdered legs that way)

Here is one that was posted in the 'odd socks' thread on Neeps! by Amanda138a
with an old pair of tights, shove odd sock down the leg and then scrunch up, then use to shine and buff your shoes to a military shine instead of the brushes

Stretch over two metal coat hangers and make fairy wings!

I don't get this one but Chris says that if you have a stringless tennis racket you can stretch one over there and give it to the kids to play tennis with (I think he had a deprived/depraved child hood!!)

My mum keeps long hair wigs in hers.

If you have a ladder in one leg of your tights put another pair over the top - you get a really funky watered taffeta effect!!!

Put one leg inside the other and put a tennis ball in the toe. Then you can teach your kids how to play that game that involved swinging it across your body and banging it a shoulder height against a wall.

My friends daughter makes kitchen witches with them. She stuffs the toe as a head, twistis it and stitches it fot the neck, stuff the body, adds pipe cleaner limbs and dresses them.

Bend a wire coathanger into a loop and stretch the fabric over the loop. Use to scoop the dead bugs off the top of your swimming pool before you go swimming

This only works in Australia BTW

Cut foot off, fill with treats and hang in rats' cage for them to nibble through. this kept my little girl entertained all ight, she could smell chocolate drops but had to work for hours trying to get to them.

The little boy bit straight through it and had treats pour onto his head - he thought he was the luckiest rat alive!!

Doube up (one leg inside the other), put a temnnis ball, or, even better, a hard rubber dogs ball in, take dog for walk, get to a field, throw as far as you can and watch dog chase it.

I've used old tights as sieves for wine, and for holding plum squelchy stuff in to let the last of the juice drip into vodka.
