Solar Oven instructions...

Sometine around 1984(-ish) I went to the Solar Expo and Rally in Willits, California. It was great - but a bit sad now when I see how little the world has adopted some of the ideas present there that day.
Walking around, I passed a guy who could have easily been billed as Mr. Complete Hippie, standing next to a cardboard box. In it, a mason jar of beans was bubbling away like crazy. 'Hey,' he said, 'yours for a dollar, if you think it's worth it. Or you can have it for free.' He handed me the sheet he was holding, and after glancing at it I handed him a dollar.
The instructions he had given me were for the Heaven's Flame solar oven. All you need is a bit of glue, a cardboard box, some aluminium foil and a small sheet of glass. I built one and found that it cooked rice perfectly - and just about anything else. What's more, it cost all of a dollar to make - I had to go out and buy the glue. I found everything else I needed, no problem.
If you would like to try it, go to http://www.weebling.com/solar-oven/ and click on the link to download a scan of the page. It's a lovely bit of retro-hippie art, if nothing else. Best of all, both sides of the page were the same!
I'm sure he wouldn't mind me giving it out for free, after all this time.
Have fun, and let us all know how it goes.
