So. Hai. Thank you for having me.
As it says in the title in coming to you from Iowa. Yeah I'll update my profile with that as soon as I figure out how.
I'm sure there's lots to learn here and look forward to reading what people have to say.
I recently purchased a chunk of land with my first house on it and have been slowly getting it set up the way I want it. But it's been slow going with My long work hours. But it's coming along well so far.
So yeah. Hi folks. And thanks for having me.
Hello from Iowa

Re: Hello from Iowa
The climate and weather are unpredictable here. Winter can be bitterly cold in the negatives one week and then in the thirties the next. Spring is just as tempermental as fall and winter but with more precipitation. Summer? Hot and humid. Often 95 degrees F with 100% humidity.
I'm currently sitting on a little more than 23 acres which is largely timber land which partly appears to have been grown from saplings (now probably 5 or 6 years old) for timber production. And apparently the family members that were selling it did not know this. The part that was planted is kind of the middle of the rest of the timber. And doesn't look like it's been cared for or culled in a couple years.
Soil ion the open land is just a little on the alkaline side and nitrogen rich. The house is/was in kind of poor shape. So I still have a lot of work to do to it.
