A small digest - any volunteers
Could be an idea to have a small digest posted every day with the going's on with the forum (hedgewizards idea). We could take it in turns to put up links to posts and a brief description of what they are about. Any volunteers?

Good idea... it's easy to miss posts, even when using the 'posts since last visit'

That sounds like a lot of work to maintain. Perhaps it would be possible instead to have a page generated from the database - having chosen a date, it would show you what topics were posted to or started, who contributed and, perhaps, highlight the ones to which you had previously posted (to encourage following up on conversations).
It would take a little bit of scripting skill to set up but I suspect it would be far less work than relying on someone to do that daily by hand (or going for a more subjective form of summary, which is even more brain intensive and likely to miss things out).
