Hi All,

I am really interested to find out how much people pay for their Allotments, and what this includes please?

I pay £10 a year for my 10x20 foot patch, I will be addding a bit more soon  . There is no toilet or anything there, which is a shame with three small kids  .

Aha - you need a composting toilet, in a little shed, then you could run a water butt off the roof!

Lovely allotment though. I'm sure you'll love it.

Mine is £25 per year 11m x11m, it's in a secure compound with running water. As for loos, I use the organic method  (Small hole + sawdust).

We pay £23.65 (plus £5 each for insurance and NSALG membership) for a 260 square metre plot, on a secure site with water and toilet facilities. There's also a shop, staffed by volunteers a few hours each week, selling allotment sundries at almost trade prices.

£15 or £16 (I forget which) for 10 rods (about 10m x 30m - slightly less as I think it's based on yards rather than metres). No facilities, but a nearby river for water.

I'm paying £80 a year for a 10m x 20m plot on a secure site with water, composting toilets, and more leaf mould than you can shake a stick at.

Ours are £25 for about 10m x 18m with £2.50 insurance each. No services on site but the site is only a few years old and we're all still finding our feet with it all.

Our fees are £130/year including membership and water for a plot approx 80m x 15m, although officially measured at 26 poles. This is in inner London. There are no toilets, water from standpipes about every 6 plots.

I pay about £30 a year for 15 by 30 foot allotment. There are taps for every row of allotments (about 20 plots). There is a shop open something like one day a week selling gardening stuff, never used it though. No toilets.
