Temps have been approaching 100 degs F this past week with humidity nearly as high. If you've tried working outside in the garden in these conditions you know how awful it can be. Grace has been motivated though to work in the garden despite these conditions. I watch from inside the air-conditioned house.

Harvesting cucumbers, beans, spinach, onions, lettuce (3 varieties), corn, potatoes, strawberries, and raspberries. Cabbage and cauliflower were disasters.
Tomatoes are now turning red. Hope to begin eating them in a week or two...everyday..until they make me sick. =)
We're cleaning out some beds and making room for new crops. We will design a better succession planting schedule next year.
Regards,
Chuck
