I am a little self sufficient, have 4 chickens which lay most days and a lovely veg plot that is thriving despite the lack of rain for the last few weeks. Cannot beat the taste of home grown veg
Hello (again)
Hello (again)
I thought I had registered in April but was completely lost when I tried to log in, never mind, here I am again! I was introduced to the forum by a very inspirational lady who came to a knitting and crochet group I was at in Northumberland in April, and then reminded of it again when I met another member at the weekend.

Well - welcome or welcome back anyway, Kate. May your chickens continue to do what chickens do. Oh - and your veggies too.

Hi Kate Egg and welcome
Where in Northumberland was your knitting and crochet group? I ask because funnily enough I met a very inspirational lady at a knitting and crochet group in Northumberland recently!
Let us be lovely
And let us be kind
Let us be silly and free
It won't make us famous
It won't make us rich
But damn it how happy we'll be!

Re: Hello (again)
Hi - it was at my friend Vanessa's who lives near Seahouses. I met her through a knitting charity and we have become such good friends. She has held 3 knitting weekends that I have really enjoyedMilims wrote:Hi Kate Egg and welcomeWhere in Northumberland was your knitting and crochet group? I have just learnt to crochet after trying for ages, so knitting and crocheting to my hearts content (well life gets in the way sometimes but I try as much as I can!)

Hi Kate! I knit too, just starting to crochet. Just across the border from you in Derby.
Re: Hello (again)
Hello neighbour! I have knitted for years, and tried lots of times to learn to crochet but could never get the hang of how to hold the hook, then at a knitting show in Perth (Scotland not Australia!) last weekend someone showed me how to hold the hook as if you were knitting - a real eureka moment and I have hardly stopped crocheting sincechickenchargrill wrote:Hi Kate!
