RUM - success

First - i live in NZ home distilling is quite legal here YMMV.
***********************************************************************
I have had a 25L super reflux still for a while and had a fair play but then i found a wonderful sight called http://homedistiller.org, I made a rum wash and modified my still and produced something worthy of the name RUM.

I'm aging it on charred Manuka as i havent got any oak sticks yet.
Just to say though - Cap'n Jack Sparrow would be proud of me

With my new improoved still set up i'm going to have a go at an excellent mock scotch and some really high quality nutral spirit for making a dram next. :study:

Be warned: distilling is illegal in most countries if you are caught. NZ is an exception. Further warning - on finding the distillers forum i spent over 4 days reading the posts, when i should have been working (in the holidays), and just scratched the surface of what was there. If you DO visit, check out the parent site aswel - link is in their top bar.

Cap'n Jack wouldn't be proud - he'd never brew the stuff himself. Now if you'd found someone else's still and stolen the rum...

But anyone with good rum, or any rum come to that, is a good friend to Cap'n Jack :pirate:
