allotment shops

i've just this morning found and joined my local one - and it's another brand new joy in my allotment journey of discovery!
£2 a year to be a member and the prices are fab - so where i was wondering (fretting) how on earth i was going to manage with the prices of compost/fertiliser/canes etc i feel very reassured and renewed excitement (not to mention the advice and cheap as chips surplus plants!)
