Bitter-flavoured spirits

Being in Hungary, a fan of Unicum (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unicum) a strong bitter flavoured spirit, and having a couple of spare bottles of vodka in the freezer, I was wondering if people could recommend a herbal infusion/recipe which isn't too sweet. I've a bottle of Nocino on the go and I'll do the horseradish vodka aswell. Paprika is always an option too :)

How about an infusion of wormwood as in Artemisia absinthium? I think that would be bitter.

Artichoke leaves, fennel, myrtle, yarrow are a few that come to mind. I'd add cloves, cardamon, some citrus peel and maybe even angelica seeds too to get the right amaro twist.

Cardamon vodka is a winner :drunken:
