Am I the only person in the world who finds Tom in The Good Life vaguely sinister? I think Barbara could have done a lot better  . I'll get my coat.

Go you, though, Berti! Hope you have many hours of viewing pleasure!

susie, you're right & he's smarmy & irritating ..... but I forgive him on the basis of his sound thinking & the comedy value of a Bolshevic cockerel on the bus to Kingston!!

(shows you how often we watch it!)

Berti,
That's great! We watched seasons 1-3 for a few years...thinking that was it. Then last year early we discovered a 4th season. Wow!! How many times do you wish a series you liked had another season...an unknown season?

If there's a 5th season I would like to know.

Enjoy,
Chuck

Only 4. total of 30 episodes..

If everin doubtabout any series, best place to look is http://www.tv.com/
they list just about most shows, with episode guides and brief synopsis of each episode, cast lists etc etc..

Might be worth trying to get hold of a BBc show.. Giles and Sue live the good life.....
sort of reality/documentary/comedy. they basically try to recreate the 70´s show. ( with present day limitations).

4 parts ( I think) , only seen part1 mind you......

Niknik,
Thanks for the info on the documentary. I'll see what I can do to pull up an episode here in the states.

Chuck

clanpowell,
Just found several episodes on http://www.factualtv.com/ Seems to be streaming quickly. I'll see if Grace wants to watch an episode or two this evening.

Can't find a US link to "Giles and Sue...". I'll keep looking.

Regards,
Chuck

If you live in the UK. Us foreigners can't get stuff shown from the UK or the US or anything from countries we don't live in. Unless you go illegal of course.

Can you link directly to them please as I can't find them there - searching for Good Life just brings up a load of unrelated stuff (although there are a few River Cottage things that come up!).

No 4OD in France? Oh no! We'll have to put all our plans on hold to move on hold. I'll inform the OH that we wont be buying the old walnut mill then, I'm sure she'll understand

Millymollymandy,
I'm sorry. I was referring (very vague of course) to "River Cottages". Grace and I watched 3 last night here.

http://www.factualtv.com/documentary/Es ... -Episode-1

We watch the Good Life on Netflix.

Regards,
Chuck
