The things people say ...

Post: # 219984Post MKG »

Got up this morning, wandered into the kitchen to make a coffee, wandered into the living room ...

OH said "OOhh! There was a really lovely bird in the garden earlier. I was so surprised, the dog ate my Eccles Cake".

I remember walking into our house and disturbing burglars who legged it through the dining room window before we spotted them. Seeing the TV turned round on its stand and the DVD player on the coffee table with the plug missing, the cable wound around it, and all the ornaments from teh top lined up alongside it, my first comment was, "What have those cats been up to?"

And MKGs poodle must have taken lessons from our old boxer in some way. He managed to eat a Fry's Chocolate Creme bar complete with all wrappings (in the days it was silver paper and a paper sleeve) from the coffee table in the time it took me to get the post from the doormat. All that without a hint he had done it, no slapping of lips, bits spat out etc. He craved chocolate (and fresh pineapple) and we wouldn't let him have any so he always just took his chance!
Growing old is much better then the alternative!
