Sage Beer Help Needed.

I started off some sage beer yesterday following the recipie I found.

http://www.gruitale.com/rec_sage.htm

I only made one gallon so obviously quartered all the other ingredients and didn't add the liquorice, however it does not seem to be doing anything. There was some bubbling in the airlock initially but it seems to have stopped now, so I'm presuming something is wrong. Could anyone offer any advice as to what I should do. I've made elderflower champagne and nettle beer before and not had this problem so i'm a bit stuck as to what's wrong this time.

all donations gratefully accepted.

If it was going but has stopped, the most likely cause at this time of year would be getting too cold. Depends on the yeast, but they'll usually stop fermenting once they get below about 18 deg C... If that sounds like it might be the problem, try and put it somewhere a bit warmer for a while.

Thanks Dunc,

I'll give that a go, the yeast was just plain old bread yeast. I'm a bit basic when it comes to brewing

What do you reckon?

Cute! My beer is wrapped up in an old fleece jacket at the moment, but it's not nearly as pretty. It does make a real difference though - the yeast can produce a surprising amount of warmth once it gets going.
