i have acquired a supplier of wooden veg boxes/crates ( thanks to my lovely greengrocer who just throws them away) and other than lettuces what else could i grow in them ?

now im using some of them as a temporary solution to my soil, its heavy clay going to take a lot of work etc so i can get stuff growing while i improve it.

they fit perfectly on the shelves of my mini greenhouse and are about 4 inches deep ( which means fingers crossed if there in there the slugs wont have them)

im just not sure what to grow other than salad leaves! any ideas ?

Depends on what sze they are height wise, but you could plant strawberrys, herbs or other shallow root plants

i never thought of strawberries an i do have them on my list of plants to get

that would actually be perfect for them as they would grow happily on the green house staging i have out in the open theyd get plenty of light too so i gould grow a fair few plants there
:thumbright:
thank you
