Can you please share any good [or bad] and cost effective suppliers of seeds, both veg and flowers.
Do you get 'organic' seeds ? does it really make a difference
and how much more do they cost ?
I havent looked at much more than HDRA and my local hardware store, but would love a catalogue or two to browse over....
Thanks
Sarah

I use victoriana as a matter of course, very good quality seeds with the added bonus of saving a little heritage

The gardening association locally sells
Kings Seeds which are good value for money.
I've bought organic stuff
from here and found that they are good value.
You could also try Mr Fothergills - the instructions on the packets are very good and make up for the extra price.
If you are looking to buy on a budget you could start at
Alan Romans - the packaging comes I believe with no instructions and there are possibly not quite as many seeds in the packet but the prices are good and I've heard a lot of good things said about the seeds germinating well. Limited choice but not bad for the average allotment.

http://www.realseeds.co.uk/ and
http://www.tuckers-seeds.co.uk/
I tend to buy from these two companies. I use realseeds a lot as I like to save my own seed and this year I because of saving my seed I already have,
sweet pepper
butternut squash
peas
beans
tomatoes
cucumber
chilli
courgette
leek
I also find tuckers seeds really good value. Both comapnies have good P&P charges with RS at 89p I think tuckers is £2.00

I use
The Organic Gardening Catalogue and their website is really user friendly. P&P is free over a certain amount and you get a 10% discount of you are a Garden Organic/HDRA member

We have used both the Organic Gardening and Real seeds. Both are good, but Real Seeds is a small concern and produce some excellent seeds.
