Hi folks,

have found a nice sized piece of land behind our local library and next to the plunket rooms, putting a proposal to our local council for permission to strat a community garden, any advice or suggestions of what I should include in proposal would be greatly appreciated

Truth to tell, hg, I've got no idea.

But the first thoughts that cropped up were - is there local interest for a community garden, so that's why you've been looking or did you just spot it and think it'd be a good idea?

Would it be for growing veg, communally, or would everyone be entitled to a little plot of their own?

Have you got sufficient people to help draw and get consensus on a plan for the garden. I'm guessing the authorities would want to see some sort of plan before agreeing to anything.
