Does anyone know where to buy these in the UK please?
I don't mean the little pickled caper buds you can get in jars. The berries are much larger (about olive size and appearance) They are also normally in jars and are from the same plant - just more mature than the little buds which are much easier to find. We used to buy them often in Spain but I haven't seen any in the UK.

Re: Caperberries
I've seen them in Italian delis in London. If you've got a caper bush, leave some capers to flower as some then grow into a seed pod (berry). I've just cured some, as I'm done harvesting capers for the year and they keep flowering

Re: Caperberries
I had to google as I'd not heard of them but Amazon seem to be selling them. Boy they've branched out, do they still bother to sell books?

Re: Caperberries
You can buy caperberries preserved in brine in Tescos. And they are delicious!
I've just brought a bag of fresh berries back from a friends garden in Rhodes in Greece. Does anyone know how to preserve them?

Re: Caperberries
As a sort of link to this, I once read you could brine or pickle nasturtium seed thingies and they make a very acceptable replacement for capers.
Anyone tried this?
I quite fancy the idea, home grown and all.

Re: Caperberries
Yes, you can get them in a lot of big supermarkets - T***o and Waitrose certainly sell them, and I'm pretty sure I've seen them in some branches of Sainsbo too.
Good luck with your hunt!
