It was 4th time lucky!

Post: # 153978Post SarahJane »

I am pleased to say that I finally had the operation on my jaw and teeth last Wednesday. It was the 4th attempt at an admission, and I really didnt believe it would happen, not even when I was waiting to be "put under". When I woke up I was so relieved.
All went well, and although I am very sore and the stitches mean I am drinking through straws and still living on soup and yoghurt, I am just pleased that I will be able to get back to normal soon!

And thank goodness for the internet, and texts, I can keep myself from going insane without having to talk! :flower:

So glad it all went well,   and yes I would imagine that it is lovely being able to communicate without using your mouth.

Oh, and icecream and homemade slush-puppies (fruit-juice with crushed ice) are really fab at getting any swellings down, you'll be back to normal in no time.

After my mouth ops, I watched lots of scary movies (Godfather and the like) and did lots of knitting it got me through the films without thinking too much.
