I pleased to see that afters last years shortage of fruit and berry's, even Sloes and Nuts, all my fruit and nut trees are loaded, so if we don't lose to many in the June drop, we may well have a record crop of fruit and nuts.

Just as well, as it will be a close run thing for the Sloe Gin and Wine, as we made none last year.

This'll be our 4th summer here & all our fruit bushes/trees are looking like they will be bearing far more stuff than before. Believe it or not, we've even got a couple of honey-melon plants(seeds from last years crop) growing out in the open, & looking extremely healthy.

I am very excited ... have been round all the sloes, apples, cherries and blueberries and it all looks very promising ... Haven't looked at the medlar yet, dunno if I will get quince either as the old guy whose tree I used to raid died a few months ago ...

Yup same here, but the cherries are dropping loads in this wind...fingers crossed

I'm disappointed with the amount of plums I have - I've never seen so much blossom on them before but their blossoming time is very short compared to other fruit trees (about a week) so I guess it wasn't the best weather for the insects at that time. Peaches seem to have a reasonable amount (not brilliant either) but the pears are absolutely loaded, and the apples looked like they had as much blossom as last year - can't tell yet as there is still some blossom on the trees. Cherries I haven't checked but they aren't great ones so don't really care. Walnuts we will wait and see as they have only just started coming into leaf and I'm not sure if their 'flowers' have come out yet. Just have to pray we don't get brown rot this year. I have so far only had one good year out of 4 for plums and peaches, and then that was only because I watered like crazy against a drought! Hard work and so much disappointment, this bloomin' tree fruit business.

Soft fruit as brilliant as last year so there'll definitely be something to eat!
