Spring Cleaning (groan)

Post: # 153397Post yugogypsy »

In order to accomodate all the great stuff we picked up on our sidewalk shopping trip, we are cleaning house yet again.

I scrubbed most of the stove, then I had to take a break. Rick was scrubbing walls in the bedroom and Rolly helped me with the stove.

It rained today or we would have been in the garden.

Next rainy day project is the fridge, then the kitchen cupboards. I have a lot to clean out, :pale: I'm not looking forward to it.

The garden supplies we found have been put to good use. We did two hanging flower baskets and a patio herb basket for Rolly's Mum for Mother's Day and cooked her dinner on Saturday night.

We have more baskets and planters to do the next sunny day, and the guys have got to turn over some more garden beds as the starts are rapidly outgrowing the greenhouse.

So room by room we're cleaning house, AGAIN, it never seems to end.

After all the cleaning we're going to do some painting as well. I'll have a nice clean bright house by the end of summer I hope.

HUGS to Everyone
 Lois

And how's the boat? You seem to be a very busy bee Lois! It's raining here today which I've been waiting impatiently for because I need to do some vacuuming and other stuff indoors, but can't when it is dry and there's so much to do outside! The garden is always the 'room' with top priority!

I gave up working on the boat. The owner was being cranky and after all the stuff that got stolen from various boats, well the SOB (pardon language Andy) practically accused me of being a thief. :angryfire:

The real thief is the drip from the Michelle Rose--he has 3 of Duby's fenders.!!! :angryfire:

Besides, with all the garden work I've had to do, and the household changes going on around here (going to paint) I just don't have time.

So I held my temper when I was accused of being a thief--and 2 weeks later gave 2 weeks notice that I was quitting, after all, he never paid me a cent,,Darn, he could have at least given me a fish!!!!

So now I am going to devote myself to farming and quit fooling about with boats.

Hugs  Lois

Very sensible decision Lois! What a cheeky sod to accuse you after all the work you've done for him, and all for free! Still, it was a good experience I imagine but better to put your energies onto improving your own property rather than someone elses.

Exactly,

My roadside stand is ready to go out and I've got to thin the chives and oregano to have a few things to put out. Rhubarb is coming along to and I can sell some of that.

The cleaning is going well though and by next week I should be able to get my new friend Chris to put in the new bedroom window I want and then paint the bedroom.

After that we'll make my office and then tackle renovating the bathroom, all on a shoestring budget because the bank wouldn't give me a loan.

My car is off the road until I can get front end parts for it, and I need CV joints in the van.

My big thing right now is getting chickens. I can't seem to make contact with my chicken guy so I'm going to put an ad on the Freecycle group for my area.

 Lois

Good luck with it all especially finding the chickens!
